My son loves his chess classes
My son loves his chess classes. His tutor is fantastic and each month, you receive a detailed report on what went well and what needs to progress more, which are really helpful. The customer support is extremely helpful and responsive- you can ask any questions via WhatsApp group created just for us, the tutor and the lovely support staff Julia. Great experience so far.

These lesson have helped my autistic…
These lesson have helped my autistic daughter dramatically. Chess is one of her special interests: I saw these lessons on instagram and booked a half hour session. My daughter absolutely love it I was doubtful she would engage but she did and absolutely love it. She been having lessons for about 6 weeks now and the difference in her is massive. A massive thank you to Milos, only after a few lessons you have brought her confidence out so much in every way. She has started going back to school attended a youth group and engaged with her home tuition and it's all directly linked to her chess lessons. Thank you for being so patient and understanding with her.

Why Chessed.me is the Perfect Platform for Chess Growth: Asking My Daughter
I started writing a detailed review of Chessed.me from a parent's perspective, but as I read through it, I realized it was getting too long and a bit boring. So, I asked my daughter what she thought of the lessons instead. She told me "the lessons are fun", "not too long" (even though her lessons are 60 minutes :)), "easy to understand", and that "the coach is lovely". She especially enjoys the puzzles and appreciates that the coach always asks if she understands everything after each explanation. Thanks to the 3x lessons per week, along with daily practice, she's become one of the highest-ranked players in her age group (U7) in the UK and has won numerous awards! Whether you're just getting started or aiming for higher levels, it's a fantastic organization to help you improve.

Excellent Teaching – Professional, Organised, and Flexible
Chessed.me has been absolutely amazing! They are professional, well-organised, and very flexible with timing, which really helped fit around our busy family schedule. My 7-year-old son has learned so much and enjoyed every session. I'm so grateful we found them. I'll definitely be coming back when my younger two are ready to start. Highly recommend!

They are absolutely amazing
They are absolutely amazing, my 8 years old son skills has been improved significantly, I was proud of myself as a good chess player, but not anymore, I can't win anymore at all. He is going to different tournaments and we see very impressive results. Thank you to the team and Adrina.

Exceptional chess learning, personalised approach and flexibility!
I really enjoy watching how excitedly Leo plays. This is his first experience and before this, he only knew about chess from Harry Potter :). It's very convenient that we have a personal training schedule and the teacher always offers compromises, because with a five-year-old child, things don't always go according to plan. Leo is very comfortable with the teacher and he always wants to compete! All that's left is to remember all the rules of the game 😂 Chess cultivates concentration, logic, and attention, so I am glad that my son likes it.

FAQs about Chessed.me lessons

The questions most parents ask before their first trial. For everything else, see our full FAQ page.

A trial lesson costs only £5. It's a full session with a real tutor — not a sales call. This allows your child to meet their tutor, experience our approach, and ensure it's the right fit before committing to regular learning. There is no obligation to continue after the trial.

We welcome children from age 5. Our tutors are experienced in introducing chess to beginners in an engaging, age-appropriate way. No prior knowledge is needed. If your child is younger and can stay focused for 30 minutes, we can give it a try and see if it works for you.

Absolutely. Most of our students start from zero. Our tutors are skilled at working with beginners and they start from the very basics — how each piece moves, simple rules — and build from there at whatever pace suits the child.

All Chessed.me lessons are 1-to-1. Your child has the tutor's full attention for the entire session. We don't run group classes.

Lessons take place live via Zoom video call between your child and their dedicated tutor. They play and analyse positions together on an online chess platform. Sessions are 30, 45, or 60 minutes, scheduled at a regular time each week.

Reschedule with 12 hours' notice — pick a new time at no charge. Cancel with 12 hours' notice — receive a credit toward your next payment. Emergency same-day change — one per month, no charge. No-show without notice — the session is forfeited and will not be refunded or rescheduled.
